Opening a specific view in the Project Details on the PWA

R

Rene Bongers

Hi,

I did create a nice Project Details view. It just has to show 3 outline
levels. But when I'm opening the view I only see the outline level 1 from the
task name column. I have to fold them open by hand. What we want is to see
all are the 3 outline levels.
Is there a possibility to arrange this?

Thanks in advance

Hello René --

If you want to set to view to automatically show the first three
outline levels when someone opens the view, you will need to modify
the view definition in the Server Settings area of PWA:

PWA > Server Settings > Manage Views

On the 'Manage Views' page, click on the desired view name to open up
its view definition page, scroll down to the 'Format View' section of
the page, locate the 'Show' drop-down list, and select the desired
number of outline levels to display (i.e 'Outline Level 3'). After
saving this change, you should see the 'Project Details' view
displayed as desired.

Please remember that visitors can always manually change which outline
levels are displayed when they visit the view in PWA, and these manual
settings will be restored when they return as well. What you're
defining is their 'starting point', but they can further manipulate
the view if they like.

Good luck!
