I have a document created in Word 2000 that is being opened in Word 2003 and
produces the following error:

Word experienced an error trying to open the file.
Try these suggestions.

* Check the file permissions for the document or drive
* Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space
* Open the file with the Text Recovery converter

Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

If you are using NAV, disable the Office Plug-in option under Preferences.

Thanks for the tip. However, I just found out that KB828041 addresses this
issue and it worked.
