When opening a word doc. bij double clicking it takes 45 sec

When I startup Word program and then open the selected file there is no
problem.

Anyone?

It is probably a corrupt normal.dot file.

Another possibility is that you have a number of Add-Ins loading. These are
helper files or programs, often added by other software. They generally add
toolbars or utilities.

As others have suggested, what you're experiencing is the startup time for
the Word application itself, which can be time-consuming if there are
add-ins to load and also if you have many fonts installed.
