Opening a word document formatting information appears, how do i disable this?

Hi Jason,
It depends on what information is appearing. If it's field
codes where graphics or hyperlinks should be, try using Alt+F9
to toggle the display. If there's no formatting in the
document but a list of styles at the end try turning on
[x] Confirm Conversions at Open in Tools=>Options=>General
and check in File=>Open to be sure the file type isn't
set to 'recover text from any file'.
A .doc file you're opening may have been damaged.
