opening a Works attachment

I received an email attachment that is a Works
document .wps. I have Word with an operating system of XP
at my work and ME at my home. Neither will allow me to
open this attachment. Do you know how I can open this
Works attachment?

You don't say what version of Word you have (that is more relevant here than
your OS), but recent versions of Word should be able to open files from
recent versions of Works. Less recent versions of Word may not be able to
open files created with the most recent version of Works. If the latter is
true in your case, ask your correspondent to save the file from Works in an
earlier version format or as an RTF or Word 6.0 file.
