Opening access .mdb file sent by email or on diskette

I cannot open an access data base sent to me from one of
my offices. I have had them email it and send on floppy.

I get message "cannot find file on c:\my
documents\filename.mdb

I have created a folder called my documents on root
directory C:\ and placed this file in it. How can I open
this file which needs a repair made to a macro that is in
it?

I'm surprised you had to create c:\My Documents All of my systems
came with that folder configured.

Your file associations may not be working as they should.

Try opening Access from the Office Shortcut bar or from Start|Programs
and, in Access, File|Open, navigate to the target file and select it.
