In Vegas, at the Office Connections event, we were told that it is no longer
necessary to install Access97. They said Access 2007 had Access97 compiled
right into it. That seemed like voodoo and everyone loved that. But they
didn't elaborate as to how this is done.
Now, fast-forward to reality. We're trying to open Access97 with Access 2007
and there seems to be no option for that. It gives us one choice: convert. We
don't want to convert. These are antiquated databases with too many old VB
macros that contractors who are long-gone wrote and aren't worth updating.
They're only used to access archived data.
Is there a fancy switch that allows Access 2007 to open Access97 databases
without conversions?
