Opening an email in Entourage

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Email Client: pop I view my incoming email messages in preview but sometimes when I double click to open the message to reply to it or whatever I just get a blank screen. This doesn't happen all the time but is frustrating as I have to close Entourage and open it again.

Any ideas?
