Opening an Excel WorkBook/Worksheet

I have a workbook with a lot of worksheets I have hyperlinks in powerpoint,
the problem is the hyperlinks opens the workbook only to the sheets that was
saved last.
I want to know how can I open the the right sheet selected when the user
clicks a button.

The way I do it is:

1) Name cell A1 for each sheet you want to link to in Excel (Use either the
Name entry box right above column A in Excel or use Insert-->Name from the
menu)
2) Add the Name from 1) above to the link in PowerPoint using "bookmark"
notation; e.g. ..\<filename>.xls#Name
3) i.e. add the # sign and then the Name you created after the Excel file
name
