Opening an old database to edit reports

I want to open an old database i created last year, but i changed the
settings to stop the user changing anything. How do i open it again so i can
edit some of the reports? I seem to remember its Ctrl and something..

Try holding down the Shift key. That bypasses the AutoExec macro
(unless you have that option disabled)

Push the shift key down and keep it down until the db is open all the way.
To avoid that, once it's open go to Tools > Startup and mark all the check
boxes and put (default) in each menu bar combo box.
