Opening attachments having downloaded Internet Ex. 6

I have just joined this newsgroup today and I have been trying for several
weeks to open attachments since downloading Internet Exploration 6 to no
avail. I know security is involved but I also know that these attachments
are safe. They are very important to me and I need to be able to open them.
What do I do now?

1. Open your Internet Explorer, use the Menu Tools / Internet Options ... /
Security tab / select "Internet zone" and set it Security Level to Medium.
OK to save it.

2. Go to your OE, use the Menu Tools / Options .../ Security tab / Select
"Internet Zone for Virus protection and uncheck "Do not allow attachments
...."

BTW, you posted to the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is for Microsoft
Access, a database application. If you still can't fix it, please post to
the OE newsgroup.
