OPENING ATTACHMENTS SENT FROM OUTLOOK 2007

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

I am emailing myself attachments from my PC running Windows XP to my MAC. I am using Outlook 2007 and emailing to my Office Entourage 2004 program. The Entourage program receives the email, but the attachments arrive as Win.dat files and I can't open them. This happened when I sent documents from one computer to the other. How do I solve this?
