Opening Database

Hello,
We have a Database on the network. One work station when he opens the
database gets a message "You don't have exclusive access to the database at
this time". He has to press OK a few times to open the database.
All other users are fine. Also when this user opens the database first,
nobody can open the database.

one must split the database; and put the FE (front end) on each users desk
top; then link each FE to the BE (back end)

the BE half will remain located at the common location now being used.

when in the database (presuming pre-Access2007) in the Tools area of the
menu bar you will find the Database Splitter

and also in this same area you will find Link Table Manager.
