Opening docs from Explorer Word 2000

I cannot open docs (they reside on a network and
permisions are fine) from Explorer by clicking on the doc
file. When I attempt this Word opens, and a dialog box
pops up saying there might be a missing library. But if I
open Word first and then do File Open and open the same
doc, all is fine. This is also happening in Access and
Excel as well. Any thoughts?

Possibly a simple registration problem.

Test Word by opening the Run dialog (Windows Key +R) and typing in:

winword /r

and pressing OK. This should reregister Word in Windows. Test Word again. If
it is now OK do the same for the other applications except use /regserv as
the other apps won't recognise /r.
