Opening document get error message document unavailable

When I select a document from the pull down file I get a yellow caution
shaped sign with an exclamation point in it and the message the file is
unavailable.

If you are using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton
