Opening Document opens two windows

When I open my Microsoft Office Word 2007 blank or saved, I get two windows
one with the document in it and the other is just a useless window. I have to
close both windows seperatly and when I close the useless one a warning pops
up saying
The file is in use by another application or user
(C:\Users\user\Appdata\...\Normal.dotm)
It wants me to save another normal templet, or tells me that changes have
been made to the normal one and if I would like to change it.
I have run diognositcs on it and they come back fine.

Find and delete normal.dotm - it sounds like it is corrupt. When you restart Word, it will create a new one.
