O.K., here's how it was: Hard disk problems led to an erase and install
for Tiger on my boot disk. First program suite I installed was MS
Office 2004, which I promptly updated to the latest version. I somehow
got my email messages--which were sitting on another drive, imported
into the program, although all several hundred dumped into the Inbox
folder, instead of into the folders I keep for read mail, where most of
them were previously stored. And now, the problems. No content
display in the next pane. Also, when I click on a message, the program
promptly crashes, suggesting I email the homeboys about the problem. So
I send in the report, the program starts again, I click my mouse and
Bang!--it's all gone again. A check of Properties revealed no likely
suspects.
