Opening Excel Attachments

I recently upgraded Adobe Reader to version 9. Later I sent a message with
two Excel Files attached. As usual, I sent the message to myself. When I
tried to open the attachments I got a message saying "Adobe could not open
the Attachment because it is not a supported File type". Can you tell me how
to get around this?

Try reregistering excel.

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets some of the windows registry to
excel's factory defaults.
