Opening Excel file from Outlook

Excel 2002 SP2
OS WinXP

Received an email with excel file as an attachment. Double
click on the attachment and the following happen:
Excel program will execute but the file will not open.

Right click on same excel file from the email and save to
disk. Open the saved excel file and it opens with no
problem.

No message error just will not open excel file as an
attachment from email. No problem opening up word doc
attachment files from email.

Try Tools - Options - General - Ignore Other Applications. Uncheck it. See
if that helps.
