I have a strange problem and cannot find a solution.
When I try to open an excel file/workbook on a remote computer via a VPN, I
get a message telling me that macros have been disbled and some, not all, of
the data contained on the original sheet are not visible.
I have found, quite by chance, that if someone on a (closed) network [that
is, the file is stored on a server, on a network, and a user of that
network opens the workbook from a pc connected directly to the server] has
the workbook open, then the workbook opens correctly with all data showing,
remotely, via the VPN.
Any ideas what causes this strange behaviour and ideas on how to correct
it..?
any help very appreciated.
