Opening file created in 2004

There is a file that some users have been working on for quite some time now, it contains about 10-11 sheets, half of which contain charts and graphs. It was created in Excel 2004 without any problems. We recently upgraded to office 2008 and now whenever opening that file in '08, we get a string of errors. Right away when opening the file errors pop up saying "cannot display negatives and zeros in logarithmic graphs", which makes sense but this never arose in excel 2004. Luckily after these errors (it pops up about 10 times in a row) we can still do work and manipulate the sheets. Whenever trying to save in a 97-2004 compatible format, compatibility errors arise saying that parts of the sheets are links pointing to missing files (sheet1). Sheet1 doesn't exist and no part of the workbok was ever pointed towards Sheet1. After saving the file as a .xlsx (2008 format), opening it generates an error saying that file has become corrupted and cannot open. My guess is that over time this file somehow has gotten corrupted, especially since accessing it in a newer version of excel than it was created it. I feel that the only real solution to this is problably just to recreate the workbook in Excel 2008 but I wanted to see if anybody else had some input before telling them to do that.

Is there any chance you could share the file in question with me? If so,
please send to (e-mail address removed). There may be a bug here, and if so,
I'd like to figure it out.

Thanks,

Pat

We were actually able to solve this problem. It was something with the charts and graphs. Once the user just re-made them in 2008, the file worked fine.
