opening file order of files

In all Offices applications when I open a file the dialog box lists all of
the files/directories in a random order. It used to list them in
alphabetical order and I do not know what changed this. How can I change the
settings back to list them in alphabetical order

File, open, at the top click "name".

I have a similar problem. My files used to open in a descending order with
the folders listed first in alphabetical order. Now they open in ascending
order with the files listed first in reverse alphabetical order.

I went to File, the clicked open, but could not find "name."
