Opening files in tabs

Does Word 2007 have a setting so that files open in tabs. I saw a posting
here but it referred to pages within one document opening in separate tabs.
My question is in reference to different documents opening in tabs -- so I
can easily copy and paste.
I know that Word opens different documents or files in separate full-fledged
windows but for efficiency I'd rather click on top of the doc borders and go
to the different file.

No. I've seen the request frequently, but Word does not
have this capability. (Although who knows what the future
might bring...)
