Opening files is reversed alphabetically

When I open or save files in Word, the list of files that comes up is now
reversed alphebetically starting with documents beginning with W thru A and
then my file folders in reverse order. This only seems to be in these
upgraded Office programs. When I open from the Desktop in My Documents or
Explorer, everything is in the correct order. This has happened since I
upgraded to Office 2003. I can not find a setting or any where to correct
this. It doesnt make any sense to have those things in reverse order when
you are saving or opening files. I dont like it like this and I dont see
the purpose of having it reversed alphebetically. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

From the open files dialogue, select the Views icon, then click on the
"Name" title bar to toggle the display/sort order.

Hi Sherlie, Not sure whether this applies to Office 2003
but certainly in Office XP if you click in the name field
(Just above the files listed) of your save/open box you
should be able to reverse the order that the files
appear, in your case A through W.

Regards, Nick.

All other cases A to Z. :)

Click it again and the order will be Z to A. You can also click on any column header to sort by date, size, type, extension or whatever other columns you use.
