Opening InfoPath without InfoPath

From what I have read you need Internet Services in order to create an
InfoPath 2007 form that will be opened by users that do not have InfoPath.

I realize SharePoint is also a good way for users to open forms as well.

Is there a way though to easily create a form that is sent via email and
opened, filled out, and sent back? I can do this as long as I have the users
with Outlook 2007 open the form, click submit after filling in fields and
then it gets sent back to me via an email that I can then use the data.
Although if they do not have InfoPath then they cannot open the form...

Are there any instructions out there that someone could point me to?

Thanks,

Matthew,
When emailing InfoPath forms the user needs to have both Outlook and
InfoPath installed locally to view that form and fill it out. If you are
emailing forms to people outside your organization then I would recommend
that you use SharePoint with Form Services to render these forms as this
removes the requirement for the user to have any software installed locally
to render these forms

Rather than emailing a form to your users you would then send a link that
redirects them to the form on your SharePoint server

Hope this helps

Thanks for the information. I did find some articles as well on MSDN about
InfoPath 2007. So will do some reading on that and playing around with the
forms. Once I get InfoPath Forms Services and access to our Test SharePoint
site I can do more work in that area.

For now I am working with storing the data in xml files and retreiving the
data.

Oh, the MSDN Virtual Labs are really good too. I have been using them
recently so if anyone wants to learn in advance you can go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/aa570323.aspx and check out the website.

Thanks,
