Opening JPG attachments from Outlook

We are in a Terminal Server environment. Occasionally, we have users
experience problems opening attachments in Outlook. The user will open a JPG
attachment, which will open MS Office Picture Manager, but the Picture
Manager will open with a red X (no picture appears). We have had users clear
their Temporary Internet Files and this does not seem to resolve the problem.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem. It doesn't happen for all users
logged on this terminal server, so it seems to be profile related. Users are
using roaming profiles.

Try a different viewer. Windows Picture and Fax viewer would be a good choice
since it is installed with Windows. If the viewer doesn't work you may have to
re-register the .dll.
Start, run, type
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
There is space between the 2 and s.
Associate your jpg files with the Viewer, select any jpg image, right-click,
opens with...change.

Thanks for the workaround...I did this for another user to test opening
attachments when their Picture Manager application would not work, but not
sure that this is an acceptable solution. Also, if the person clicks on the
button to Close this program and opens the image for editing, it will still
open MS Office Picture Manager with red Xs instead of the actual picture.
