Opening .jpg without having to save to disk

I have upgraded Office XP (2002) to SP2 with all of the
updates. The problem that has occured is that if I try
to open an attachment that contains a .jpe (JPEG) file,
Outlook is requires that I save it to disk first. The
Dr. receives numerous .jpg attachments a day and cannot
spend the time to save to disk on each pic. Is there any
way to bypass this. I have already tried the
Level1Remove Reg edit. That did not work. I guess that
it is a Level 2 security issue. Please help to bypass
this problem.
