Opening message is slow

Hi,
I have a few users that intermitently have a hard time opening up
emails with attachments. It may take up to 60 seconds to open the email just
to view it. They are running Windows 2000 SP4, Outlook 2000 running off
exchange 5.5. They also have a large PST file 1GB+ (but not over the 1.8 GB
limit). Other programs are not slow when this is happening. While looking
at the task manager, I have 98% of the CPU usage on System Idle Process. I
have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook and Even Windows, but it
seems to keep coming back to the same users. I have 200 mailboxes on the
exchange machine, but this is only happening to 2 people. Does anyone have
any suggestions? Thanks.

That did the trick. There were only 9 MB of files in there. Do you know why
that would slow down Outlook so much?

Thanks so much for your help. I have been trying to figure this one out for
some time.
