Opening MS Word 2007 document at specific page without using macros

Hello,

I've this problem:
I have a text document created on MS Office 2007 and when I open it I
want it to go directly to page N.
I know that I can do it with a macro, but the document will be used on
different PCs by different people. So some will have high security
setting or disabled macros and the macro will not trigger.
Any advice how to do it without writing a macro ? Help me please.
Thank you!

Sorry, it's not possible. There is no other completely automatic mechanism.

You could put a hyperlink on the first page, pointing to a bookmark or other
item on page N. Whether that's an acceptable alternative, only you will
know.

Another couple of possibilities that might come close depending on your
intent and the capabilities of the readership...
a. insert a from field (content control, or even legacy form field,
but probably not one of the legacy ActiveX controls) at the point you
want them to go to, and protect the document for fors, e.g. with a blank
password. When the user opens the document, they are unforunately
presented with page 1 but a click anywhere in the document should take
them to the form field. They'd then have to understand what was going on
and be able to unprotect the document.
b. Extract the page you want them to see first, and embed the entire
document in that. If necessary, use e.g.

activedocument.InlineShapes(1).OLEFormat.DisplayAsIcon = True

to display the embedded doc as an icon. Tell your readers how to open
the embedded doc to read the rest of the text. More likely to be
considered as malware though, I'd have thought.

Can't say I've tried either in a variety of security environments...

Thank you for your answers.
Pity the solutions you are offering will not suit my situation :(
