Google Desktop not installed. When I go to open an MSG attachment in
Outlook 2003 SP3, I get an error "The form required to view this message
cannot be displayed. contact your administrator." If I save the same
attachment to my desktop, it opens normally from there.
I can open the same attachment normally from another PC, but not from
another Outlook profile that I created on this PC. In addition to creating
a new profile, I've done the usual forms cache troubleshooting, including
clearing the cache, renaming the .dat file, etc. - I'm not surprised this
did not work as the attachment definitely uses the default message form.
Ironically, this started as I was trying to figure out what could be causing
it on the PC of another newsgroup poster. I could open the MSG attachments
normally, then I booted into safe mode, where I began getting the error.
Now I get it when starting Outlook in both safe and normal mode, as well as
if I boot Windows into safe mode.
Does anyone know the cause of this, or better yet the fix? Thanks!
