All versions of Access allow only 1 database to be opened per instance. Just
add a shortcut to your desktop, or your application, to open another
instance of Access to the next database. You'll still be able to move around
them with Alt+Tab.

Hi:

Do not double click the mdb in Explorer -- you will have the problem you
mention.

Start new Access instnace (from Start menu) and then open database and it
works well.

Naresh
