Opening One Note Home Page

Sorry if this is so obvious that I didn't see it, so thanks for your help. :)
How do I have OneNote open to it's home page, instead of a new page, when I
open it from my Notification Area.
Again, thanks for your help. :)

Yes, maybe my wording is a little off, as the "home page" that I mean is the
one that when you open OneNote from the notification area, it opens to a
blank page, and the if you click on the Full Page View Icon it brings you to
what I call the Home Page, in that it has the Menu bar, Notebook bar, New
Page tabs etc. That's the one I want OneNote to open with, but your saying
for it to open in that view, I would need to create a desktop short cut of
that?

Thanks for any additional help you can give me Ben. :)

Rightclick the OneNote icon in the notification area, go to Options,
"OneNote Icon Defaults", and check "Open New Side Note"

Thanks for your help Ilya, but what I'm looking for is for OneNote to open to
the home page, that being the page that has the lists of your notebooks
listed on the left edge, the menu bar and the toolbar, and the titled pages
on the right side. Your helpful right click just opens up a new page, which
you then have to click the Full Page View Icon in odrer to get the the page
that I want OneNote to launch into first, instead of the blank page/toolbar
page. Thanks :)

There is no option to simultaneously create a new page in unfiled notes
and launch OneNote into full page view to that page. You'd have to chose
between launching into sidenote view and a new page, or launching into
full page view on the last page you were viewing.
If you want, you can suggest this feature to be included in a new
version on http://connect.microsoft.com. You could also write a powertoy
that'd create a new page and launch OneNote in full page view to that page.

Thank you Ilya for taking the time to respond back to me with an answer that
now answers my question. :) I thought that might be the case, but I just
wanted to make sure, as to often I overlook a solution that might be right
there under my nose, so thanks again, and consider this thread answered. :)

Ben, thank you also for your help and consideration to my question.

What do you mean by "home page"?
ON does not have anything that would be something like a "home page".
instead of a new page, when I open it from my Notification Area.

When ON is launched with it's shortcut in the Startmenu's section
Microsoft Office" it will open with the page that was active when
closing it.

Clicking on the icon in the notification area by default does open a new
"sidenote", i.e. an empty new page which will later be saved in the
"Unfiled notes" section.
To open ON (with the last used page being open):
Right-clock on the icon in the notification area and select "Open
OneNote".

And one easily change the settings so the the default behaviour is
changed:
Right-click in the said icon;
in the context select "Options";
then select "Default values for the "OneNote" icon;
the select "Open OneNote".
