opening powerpoint from onenote

I downloaded ON2007, and I love it. I just have one problem that's rather
annoying. I'm a student, and I often insert powerpoint lectures on specific
pages using the File, Insert command. However, I have problems opening those
powerpoint slides from the page. Immediately after starting ON2007, the
first time I go to open a powerpoint presentation from a page, there's no
problem. But if I close the file, and then try to open another powerpoint
file (say, from a different page, for a different class), it loads extremely
slowly. Usually by the time it loads, my professor has already covered a lot
of material!

Will this glitch be fixed soon? What do I need to do?

Wait till the next beta release is made available. The current beta has
glitches with embedded files. No ETA on the next beta release though.

As the beta is having problems with opening external files, I would
suggest to import the PPT files into ON as images instead of linking
them.
