Opening PPTX in a PowerPoint 2003 via OLE

Hi,

My application supports opening PowerPoint files inside an OLE
container (or activex document container as MS says it), When
PowerPoint 2003 is installed, I can open the pptx/ppsx files by double
clikcing on them.

But when I try to open a PPTX/PPSX file inside the OLE container, it
fails. the DSOFramer sample provided by microsoft also fails to do the
same.

As I understood it, the standalone PowerPoint internally converts PPTX
to PPT using the converter pack (I have it installed) and then opens
the resulting ppt. But the OLE container could not do that.

Is there any way to open PPTX/PPSX directly without converting it into
a ppt first
