Opening Project 2000 files in Project 98

I have project 98 and am trying to open a project 2000
file. When I try it directs me to the converter website.
However, the converter actually is getting the person to
create the file in 2000 to save it as 98. This is not
verly helpful if I do not have access to the person that
created the file in the first place.

How can I convert 2000 to 98? Is there a converter?

Hi Jim,

I'm sorry no, there is no converter.
If it's a one-off thing, you can send me the file I shall send it back in 98
format.
