opening remote site

Hi
When I want to open an htm file in my remote site, this message appears:
“You don’t have permission to change this document, do you want to open read
only copy?†but by ftp I can access my remote site,

Did you open the web first?

i.e. File > Open > Site/Web and then put in the URL, then enter your log on
details (note, to open the live site requires FrontPage Server Extensions)

Perhaps the FTP access is all you have - check with your host.
