Opening Rich Text Files

Hi

I am a remote worker using OL2002 and Windows XP. I
receive regular .RTF attachments and up until now have had
no problem opening them. My machine will now not let me
open any RTF files and displays the error message as
follows

"Can't create file:company sheet.rtf. Right click the
folder you want to create the file in and then click
Properties on the short cut menu to check your permissions
for the folder"

I have power user permissions so cannot understand why
this has suddenly happened??

Any help would be much appreciated.
