Opening Visio 5.0 files in 2002

Our group here at work uses Visio to generate HVAC layout
drawings. We created a titleblock that uses Visio Custom
Properties to fill in all of the drawing info as well as
all of the revision info. Whenever I open up a Visio 5.0
file in Visio 2002, all of the revision blocks have zero's
in places where the Custom Property info should be. I
click on the rev block, go up to Custom Properties under
the Shape menu and I am able to see all of my info in the
Custom Property dialog boxes. However, all I see on the
drawings are the above-mentioned "0"'s. This is creating
a problem on some of our customer's sites, where revision
control is very important.

Does anyone out there have a solution to this? I'd hate
to think that this is a version issue with Visio, since we
would all have to go back to 5.0 (not my idea of progress).

Thanks

Are the custom properties displayed as text by using Insert Field?
If, so, do the custom properties show if you use Insert Field in Visio 2002?
If so, then check the TextFields section of your Title Block master
Does the formula look OK? Does the formula evaluate to a value correctly?
If not, then you may need to redo the Inert Filed in your title block master
in each document stencil.
