Opening w/visOpenMacrosDisabled stops my code too

Am I crazy or does opening a Visio drawing with...

OpenEx "filename", visOpenMacrosDisabled

....stop my code from running too? Why on Earth would I want to stop my own
code? Am I doing something wrong?
