opening Word 2004 doc with Word 2007

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

If I create a document in Word 2004 for the Mac on a PC that has Word for Windows 2007? If that's possible, how? I'm having problems. Thanks.

I made a mistake when I posted this question. Here is what I meant to ask:

If I create a document, on a Mac, using Word 2004, can I then open up that document on a PC that has Word for Windows 2007?
