hello
a colleague of mine rec'd a Word 2003 document from another employee working
at our Houston office. (we're in Denver)
When my colleague tried to open the document in Word 2007, he noticed that
Word was trying to send the document to the printer in HOUSTON, then to the
printer in Chicago, then to the printer in California, etc.
When he clicked "ESC" to get out of this whole operation, Word "barfed" (his
words, not mine so not really sure exactly what that means, but it can't be
good)
Has anyone else experienced this? if so, what is causing it? how do we
prevent it? how can we determine if this will happen before opening the
document?
i am thinking it might have something to do with converting from 2003 to
2007 but why would it try to send to the printer? does this have something to
do with the page setup (i.e. margins, etc)
any help would be appreciated!
thanks,
