Opening word docs from Explorer

I have Word 2000 trying to open a file from a network
drive. When I open explorer and find the file and open
it, the file will not open. The error message states that
a required library is not loaded. Word opens but cannot
open the file. If I open Word first and then use File
Open to open the file, everything is fine. Any thoughts?

Hi Jamie,

First try re-creating the file association for Word. Go to Start/Run
and run:

winword /r

Note the space before the forward slash.
