opening word document from email or cd or hard drive

I previously used Word 2000, Windows XP Home Edition. I
installed Office Professional Edition 2003 several months
ago. Since then, whenever I try to open a Wrd document
from an email attachment, or from a CD on which I from
time to time copy my Word documents, or from
C:\Settings\big sky\My Documents.

This was not a problem before Office 2003 (which includes
Word 2003).

The message I get is "Cannot display the End User License
Agreement which must be displayed and accepted before ypu
can use the applications."

Re-intalling Word 2003 does not correct the problem.

I would like to have suggestions to corect this time
consuming problem. Thanks.

Sorry, I did not consider it necessary to state that, of
course, the product is registered.

I am unclear whether your reply was an unimaginative wise
crack, or whether your reply was serious, being all that
you know about the solution to the problem that I have
with this Word 2003 product.

Given that the symptom you describe is that of an unregistered product, and
your question is more or less identical with the half-dozen a week that get
asked in this and similar forums for which registration is in fact the
answer, it seemed an obvious reply.

And given that you didn't take the effort to provide anything remotely like
enough information for anyone seriously to diagnose your problem ...
