Opening Word in max window

Win98SE, Word 2000: I'd like to set the properties of Word's shortcut so
that Word always opens in a maximized window. I read a tip which involves
right-clicking the desktop shortcut icon, selecting "properties", and
selected "Maximized" from the Run drop-down list. However, all the boxes on
the shortcut tab are grayed out so that I can't set any of them. Any
suggestions?

It appears that you have no rights to change the shortcut. I would
first try to create a new shortcut and if it lets you , then delete
(if possible) the troublesome shortcut.

If it refuses to let you generate a new shortcut, then you really need
to find out who has the administrators rights.

Hope this helps

Once Bobbi has acquired the rights he should right click on the
shortcut, then PPOPERTIES then on the Menu that pops up, use the RUN
field select to select MAXIMZED.

I'm using Win98SE. Are there administrator rights in Win98? If so, how do I
find out who has them?
The problem is the same for MS Excel and Publisher. All 3 of these programs
came installed on my PC.
There's no such problem with programs I've installed myself.
