opening word2007

I seem to have an issue when opening MSWord2007. If I click on a file I want to open I get a response that the file does not exist. This response pops-up as the program loads. If I click the file a second time it opens.
If I open the program prior to requesting a file the operation works fine.
This only occurs on the first application after opening the computer in the morning.

I assume that you are running Vista. It seems that it is impatient and very
often give spurious messages (such as Not Responding, which you can ignore
when something takes longer that the OS thinks it shouild). The one you
mention however does seem to stop the opening of the file in its tracks and
in those cases, I just do the same thing as you do - close the message box
and then click on the file a second time.
