Opening .xls files in 2003/xp version instead of 2007

I installed office 2007 but I would like to open xls files in previous
excel version (XP).

I tried with: right button --> open with --> browse xp excel location
exec but it didn't work.

Can you help me?

Any help appreciated.

I am interested in this. I have Office 2003 installed along with
Office 2007. I would like everything with the old extension to open
in 2003 and all new extensions (docx, xlsx, pptx) to open in 2007.
