opens file slow

Opening file slowly .. network icon shows activity and
then file opens. File is on local C:\ with no external
links. If I disable network the file opens immediately.

Reboot your computer. Then open Windows Explorer. In the
address bar, enter %temp%. This will take you to your
local temp directory. Clear it out completely. Try
opening your file now.
