For two days I've been getting an "Operation Failed" message when trying to
save mail to my usual place (not in Outlook's personal folders).
I have run the Office 2007 diagnostics and no problem was reported.
I tried to run "repair" Microsoft Office from the Control Panel, but got the
following message:
"Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\config.msi\9766d.rbf
Verify that you have access to that directory"
I have failed to even find that file or folder on my hard drive. I also do
not know if the latter problem has anything to do with my Outlook problem.
I have "repaired" Office 2007 in the past with no problem. The most recent
software I have installed is Carbonite, the online storage program, and ESET
NOD32 antivirus. However, they produced no immediate problem with Outlook. I
have also tried disabling both programs to see if I can save my mail, but it
made no difference.
Thanks in advance
