Operation Failed

I have a workstation here with Outlook 2002 on it and
occasionally it will not open an attachment. The
attachment can be Excel or Word or even other programs and
when I try to open it, it says "Operation Failed". Thats
all the information I get. I can't save the file either. I
get a "Unable to save file" error when I try to save it.
If I reboot or sometimes just close outlook, it will fix
the problem temporarily. Is there a way to turn on a log
or something to get more information
