Operation must use an updateable query

I am using a Access with a program povided by my union called Winstabs. It
was working fine, until I downloaded the newest version of Winstabs.

I started getting a message called "Operation must use an updateable query".
I click OK and get another error message: Action failed. The only option is
Stop all macros.

I have searched here and found many posts about this, but no answers how to
fix it. I uninstalled Access and reinstalled, same thing. I even went back to
the older version of Winstabs and it is the same thing.

Please tell me how to fix this.

I met with a buddy and installed the new version onto his computer. The same
thing happened. But we got a ribbon at the top of his Access that said the
program is self certified or something like that. It asked if we wanted to
trust it. We clicked yes and now it works fine.

This ribbon is not showing up on mine!

Access2007 uses the ribbon interface; older versions don't. Are you still
using Access2003 or XP? Try Help... About to see what version it's running.

I have XP, my freind has Vista. I am using Access 2007.

How can I find this without a ribbon?

I cannot do anything now in Access. Even if I try to open a blank database
it gives me an error message. "The application is disabled and databases may
not be created".

You'll need to contact the vendor of the program.
